“I always like to take the opportunity to encourage people to buy original art.  Not only does it keep artists motivated and creative, it allows you to show your individuality by owning something that is one of a kind and not what is just a current trend.”

Lynn Byrne Simon was first inspired to paint when she received a set of “Paint by Numbers” at the age of seven. Growing up in a small town outside of Philadelphia, she was always encouraged to express her artistic interests by her family.  In 2008, she was introduced to pastels after being a still life oil painter for many years.  This new medium opened an adventure in painting landscapes and now portraits.

Lynn’s work has garnered recognition and awards in national and international juried exhibitions.  She is a founding member of the Pastel Society of the Gold Coast, signature member of the Pastel Society of the West Coast, member of the International Association of Pastel Societies and the Degas Pastel Society.

“Painting teaches me to appreciate the things around me.  It’s the enjoyment I get from painting that gives my life more meaning.”
