Judy Klement

Judy Klement

Judy Klement, Fine Artist, specializes in Realistic Impressionism as it relates to land and seascapes, portraits, and murals.

She uses soft pastels in colors that make her paintings become vibrantly alive. Her realistic impressionistic style creates an essence of being, and of place, to share a moment in time preserved as art.  Originally a Jersey girl, Klement adores California weather, and the breathtaking scenery that becomes art. She finds Santa Paula a perfect fit for home and studio.

Judy has had exhibitions in New Jersey, New York museums and galleries,  painting as Judith Aymar,
a COGAP Artist. Her oil painting, “Statue at Battery Park” is in the permanent US Coast Guard Art Collection. Her paintings grace fine homes and establishments in USA and abroad in Italy and Germany. In 1989 Judy moved to Calabasas, California, then in 1999 married and became Judy Klement and moved to Santa Paula, CA.

As Judy Klement, her work includes “Guiding Lighthouse” oil, which hangs in Lang Ranch Elementary School, Thousand Oaks. Two acrylic murals hang in Church in the Canyon, Calabasas. “The Pub,” a water color portrait of twenty eight men, commissioned from Dublin, Ireland, resulted in thirty six Giclee prints being bought by family and friends. Judy has had art demonstrations in pastel, acrylic or watercolor across California and Arizona. Klement's art is in private collections in California, Ventura, Ojai, Los Angeles, the Netherlands, Italy, Florida, New Jersey and New York.

Judy’s work can also be found at the Santa Paula Hospital, The Depot, and Klement Studio, 728 West Main St., Santa Paula.

She is a member of Santa Paula Society of the Arts, Camarillo Art Center, California Art Club, Ventura County Pastel Artists, and signature member of the Pastel Society of the Gold Coast.

For sixteen years, she has been giving instructions in art at Ventura Adult Continuing Education in all mediums (watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, pencil, ink, and mixed media) and with all subject matters.
To showcase her students' creations, Klement sponsors a yearly art show at the Blanchard Community Library, in Santa Paula.
