    Seeing the light. Feeling the mood. Capturing emotion.


    That’s what painting is to me. Being sensitive to the scene means sensing more than the view. It’s feeling the warm or chill breeze in the air and listening to the sounds that surround me as the scene unfolds in my field study. I am free to let my intuition speak in the field studies that I review later in my studio. When creating larger pieces with their own character, the inspiration of light and nature comes through.
